Yuuta hated rain—the streets got darker than usual, drivers more careless because others were being more careful, and the whole city just seemed to come under a depression that would make life seem pretty worthless.   
Bad things also came when it rained. Not that he’d like to elaborate.   
The last time that it rained, it brought something to him, and he was not sure if he should call it a bad thing or not. Overall, it was just annoying.

My Fathers Before MeOne,  from four generations back,  moved his whole family here  from Germany just before the First War.  And on the other side,  another did the same.   
One, from two generations ago,  worked long, hard hours among machines,  but never missed a birthday—  (not even my brother’s,)  even when he had a heart attack the day before.   
Another, from two generations ago,  from the other side,  tried to save his before him  from the water rushing into the boat.  Even though neither of them came back—  he left behind two sons,  and now, many My Fathers Before Me

Work has been taking up all of my time with shifts from 1:30PM to closing (aka about 11PM). I will eventually get back to being a part of this community and not some often-absent lurker, although I like that image.
